Thank you for your interest in serving on the Blackhawk Human Resource Association Board of Directors.

Service on the BHRA Board of Directors is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. It is also a great honor and responsibility which requires engagement and presence both physically and mentally. While each position has a specific position description, here are some general responsibilities that should be considered before deciding to run for office:

Participate often. This includes attending chapter meetings and board meetings. It also includes being prepared for board meetings, asking critical questions, and helping the board come to agreement in making decisions that affect chapter membership.

Grow personally. Know or build your knowledge about your chapter, SHRM, and its governing bylaws. Learn about SHRM and its role with your chapter. The SHRM Leaders Guide is available online in the Volunteer Leaders’ Resource Center (VLRC) to assist you. Stay informed of trends in the field of human resources and timely issues affecting your chapter.

Maintain professionalism. Be willing to provide contacts and resources to help your chapter grow and develop as an organization. Uphold confidentiality, as appropriate, of chapter Board issues and membership data. Be a chapter member in good standing and maintain a SHRM membership.

A few of the benefits of becoming a chapter Board member include:

  • BHRA membership dues and monthly chapter meeting fees are waived.
  • Reimbursement of SHRM membership; up to 100% if not employer funded.
  • Free attendance to WI State SHRM Leadership Conference.
  • An opportunity to be recognized as a leader in the field of human resources.
  • Hours spent as a volunteer also count towards SHRM certification credits.

 

The opportunity to attend SHRM’s Annual Volunteer Leader Business Meeting in November. Conference is FREE for Chapter President OR President-Elect. The conference registration fee for other chapter board members is reduced. Accommodations for this event may also be provided for eligible board members.

President

Kyle Collinge  SHRM-CP

Kyle graduated from Central Michigan University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and a minor in Leadership. During his time at CMU, he received the Senior Leadership Award for his extensive volunteer work supporting incoming students through programs focused on leadership success. Kyle was also a founding member of Central Michigan’s leadership fraternity, Chi Phi, where he served in multiple board roles and contributed to the organization earning its charter in just two years.

Kyle held several managerial roles during and after college before joining Blain’s Farm & Fleet in 2020 as part of the store management team. In 2024, he was promoted into the Human Resources department as an HR Business Partner, where he supports field leaders with associate relations, succession planning, and strategic partnership initiatives.


When he’s not working, Kyle is usually traveling with his wife, playing with their two cats, or passionately rooting for the LA Dodgers and the Detroit Lions.

Workforce Readiness Director

Tracy Mace  SHRM-SCP

Tracy Mace is an HR Manager at Blain Supply, where she primarily supports the supply chain and corporate support teams. She’s a proud UW–Whitewater alum who stayed busy on campus through participation in several student organizations and leadership roles that helped spark her passion for people.
A SHRM member for 14 years, Tracy brings broad HR experience and a genuine love for building positive organization cultures. She’s especially energized by helping others grow, develop their careers, and find success in their work.
Following her interest in mentoring and learning, Tracy partners frequently with local schools and community organizations to prepare students for future careers and the work world. Through relationships with business leaders and the local community, Tracy’s experience is a great fit for the Workforce Readiness role with BHRA.
